Power Generation

Some of the company’s experiences to date include working on major Power Generation sites throughout the UK for Scottish Power, British Energy, EDF Energy, GE Energy and EON.

OPUS has experienced a high level of activities on Power Generation sites such as Longannet, Hartlepool, Wilton, Pemroke, West Burton and various Onshore/Offshore Wind Farms facilities.

Training

At OPUS, every permanent employee undertakes an annual appraisal, together with regular informal discussions and any aspect of training that will benefit the employee and/or company is also given a pro-active response.

OPUS is a Full Member and Training Operator of the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA). We carry out training for our employees and third party companies/individuals alike in our purpose built Training facility at Ethan House, Billingham. The company is also an accredited member of Institute of Corrosion and via our membership of CORREX; OPUS trains operatives in accordance with the Industrial Coating Applicators Training Scheme (ICATS).

OPUS are members of and are involved in training apprenticeship schemes within our National Association of Scaffolding Contractors (NASC), Thermal Insulation Contractors Association (TICA), Engineering and Construction Industry Association (ECIA) and CITB.
